Description:LifeWorks Youth and Adult Counseling is looking for a Bilingual Counselor II who
is strengths-based, flexible and has a positive can-do attitude!

Our ideal candidate will have the ability to learn quickly and follow agency, program and funder policies and procedures; ability to learn and use database software Efforts to Outcomes (ETO) quickly and accurately; and a willingness to provide assistance and support to other team members as needed.

The Counselor II will need to be well-organized, responsive rather than reactive, have strong attention to detail, enjoy fast-paced work environment, and have a drive to take initiative and demonstrate leadership with projects.

This position provides the opportunity to work as part of a strong clinical team, receive advanced level training with master trainers and strengthen clinical skills with wide range of clientele.


SCHEDULE: Two evenings per week and Saturday mornings required; minimum one week per quarter after-hours telephone coverage required

SITE: South location
Duties:•Provides individual, couples, group and/or family counseling.
•Provides crisis intervention with clients based on individual program needs.
•Provides training and supervision to interns and volunteers.
•Assists in program development, quality assurance, and special projects.
•Administers client services providing: intake, assessment, treatment planning, record keeping and documentation, case management, evaluation and follow-up, and by contacting necessary collaterals. Provides appropriate referrals; keeps apprised of available community resources.
•Provides or coordinates community outreach as required by individual program.
•Follows licensure requirements as determined by program, agency, and/or grant.
•Participates in agency and community committees on an ongoing basis.
•Provides services in Spanish, translates documents and assists in special projects related to the Spanish speaking community.
Qualifications:•Requires a Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling or a related field and advanced licensure (LCSW);
•Requires 2+ years post-graduate direct clinical experience; or
•Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred:
Bilingual in English and Spanish
